The Righteousness of God In Christ Jesus

Scripture Reference – Romans 3:20-28 (AMPC)

I have found one of the greatest tools of the enemy is condemnation.  I’m not talking about condemnation from others, that is also an arrow in the accuser’s quiver but from oneself.  When we fall or when we mess up in the slightest the accuser comes to tell you, “See, I told you so! God is mad at you!  He thinks you are vile!”  However, if you have given your life to Jesus and believe that He died for your sin and rose again on the third day, that couldn’t be farther from the truth!  Now listen, I’m not talking about “greasy grace.”  Just living in sin and thinking to yourself, “God will forgive.”  The truth is when we come to Him in repentance after mess up’s He looks down at you and sees a son or a daughter.  He sees the righteousness of Jesus Himself.  According to Romans 3:22-24 He sees

“the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction, Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives. [All] are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His grace (His unmerited favor and mercy), through the redemption which is [provided] in Christ Jesus.” (Amplified)

We are in a fight and the battle is bloody.  You are going to have days that seem like utter failures and the enemy will stick you while you’re down.  He would like nothing more than to see you give up on your quest to live a holy life.  He would love it if you threw in the towel.  I have made it a point to repent quickly.  I don’t want to give the devils and demons any time to start throwing darts.  I know that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.  This is the whole reason He died on the cross for me and for you.  He died and became the Mercy Seat.  He died so you could be clean before God.  The devil knows your sin will diminish the more time you spend in the presence of God.  The more time you fill your mind with scripture.  The more time you learn the truth and realize the enemy is a liar!  That is why he will use condemnation every time.  Don’t let him.  Trust in the fact that His Grace is sufficient for you.  That same Grace is power to move forward in Him.  Turn your failures into ammo and return fire.  Fall on your face, repent, receive His Grace and Love and keep going.  Nothing will stop you if you grab onto this truth!  You are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
